Julius Kugy, writer and explorer of the Julian Alps, used to say “…you really learn to know a mountain – it’s my old thesis – when you sleep on it.” This room is dedicated to “the bivouac”, whether in a forest or hanging on a rock wall, mountaineers always have magic memories of the sun rising over the peaks, vibrant sunsets and quiet nights sleeping under the stars.
