Giovanni Pellis, a painter from Friuli, dedicated most of his work to mountain landscapes. He often visited Valbruna, where he spent long periods of time between 1950 and 1961 staying at the old Pensione Keil. He always chose this room because of the fantastic view of the Jof Fuart range, which was the backdrop of many of his paintings of Valbruna. "January 1961, I found Valbruna in exceptional shape.
