Cima Cacciatori's old German name was "Steinernen Jaegern", "the Hunters made of rock," because of the old legend where three hunters dared shooting at the Lussari Sanctuary and were immediately petrified. A short, but intense mountain hike from the top of the gondola to Mt. Lussari will take you to the summit of Mt. Cacciatori, where you will enjoy one of the most stunning panoramic views of the Julian Alps. The balcony overlooks the village.
